Edmonton, Alberta – July 30, 2025
My Fertility Labs (MFL), a Canadian women’s health clinic network, has officially launched in Edmonton, Leduc, and Calgary, offering in-person and virtual care across Alberta. Focused on uncovering and treating the root causes of fertility challenges, MFL is redefining access to timely, evidence-informed, and personalized fertility support.

A New First Step for Fertility Patients
My Fertility Labs is designed for individuals and couples who have been trying to conceive for three months to a year (or more), and who are seeking a science-based, holistic alternative to assisted reproductive technologies (ART) like IVF or IUI. We offer a more conservative approach than traditional fertility clinics—focusing on identifying and treating the root causes of fertility challenges through hormone balancing, nutrition guidance, and targeted care for underlying health conditions that may be impacting conception.
What sets My Fertility Labs apart it its root-cause approach that seeks to treat the underlying conditions impacting fertility – such as PCOS, thyroid disorders, low progesterone, short luteal phase, PMDD, and others. In many cases, treating the underlying condition can improve not just overall health, but fertility too.
As part of the intake process, patients start with a 1-hour Fertility Doula appointment to review their cycle and menstrual symptoms. From there, our Fertility Doula may recommend a full Fertility Screen. This entails a MFL clinician’s in-depth review of intake forms that cover reproductive health, symptoms, cycle patterns, sleep, stress, and family history. From there the patient will get tailored labwork—timed to their cycle—and the clinician will review with them to provide them with the results of their Fertility Screen and can indicate to the patient whether they are recommended for follow-up care.
In follow-up care they can choose a tailored care plan that offers them a set number of appointments each month – with their full care team – Holistic Nutritionist, Fertility Doula, and MFL Clinician—builds a personalized care plan that addresses the root causes of subfertility.
“We believe fertility care should start with understanding your body,” said Sarah Harper, CEO of My Fertility Labs. “Our model gives patients a clear, actionable roadmap that improves their health and fertility—naturally, or in preparation for further treatment if needed.”

Why Root-Cause Fertility Care Matters
Emerging research consistently supports the value of treating underlying health conditions to improve fertility outcomes. For example:
A 2018 study found that among women of advanced reproductive age (average 37.2 years) with prior failed IVF attempts, 32.1% achieved live births after receiving treatment focused on addressing the underlying causes of their fertility challenges.
A 2020 Human Reproduction study linked chronic stress and poor sleep to decreased fertility, independent of age or BMI.
A 2021 Nutrition Reviews meta-analysis showed that dietary changes—like increasing omega-3s, plant-based proteins, and whole foods—can improve ovulation and natural conception rates.
These findings reinforce MFL’s commitment to a whole-person, health-optimizing approach to fertility care. We use a scientific and evidence-based approach to treating patients.
